Terms of Service

1. Agreement to Terms & Platform Scope
By creating an account, onboarding an academy, or accessing any service provided by Al-Ibiewi LMS (“the Platform”, operated by Al-Ibiewi Studio), you agree to be bound by these Terms of Service. If you are accepting on behalf of an Islamic academy, school, or madrasah, you represent that you have full legal authority to bind that institution.
Al-Ibiewi LMS is a specialized multi-tenant management platform built specifically for Islamic educational institutions, facilitating student rosters, admissions, daily timetabling, Qur'an progress tracking, parent portals, and website integration.
2. Academy Administration & Account Security
Each academy operates within a cryptographically isolated tenant workspace. The designated School Administrator is responsible for:
- Maintaining the confidentiality of administrative credentials.
- Ensuring all appointed teachers, tutors, and staff uphold pedagogical and safeguarding standards.
- Verifying that parents and guardians are granted access only to the academic records of their respective children.
- Promptly notifying Al-Ibiewi Studio of any suspected unauthorized access or compromised accounts.
3. Subscription Economics & Paystack Billing
Al-Ibiewi LMS operates on a transparent, usage-based model:
- Unit Price: ₦500 per active enrolled student per calendar month, the same in every country (academies outside Nigeria pay the naira amount by card). There is no minimum monthly bill, and the bill stops at 100 students: no school pays more than ₦50,000 in a month.
- Everything Included: Monthly progress reports, report cards and school fee collection are part of this one price.
- No Per-Seat Fees: Administrator, teacher, and parent portal accounts are provided at zero additional cost with unlimited seats.
- Active Students Rule: Only students who are active and receiving educational services are billed. Paused, suspended, or prospective applicants who have not started classes are never charged. A new student is counted only after their first 5 days enrolled, and a student removed or suspended within those 5 days is never charged.
- Automated Billing: Monthly recurring billing is processed securely through Paystack. Academy debit cards or bank mandates are tokenized via PCI-DSS compliant infrastructure; Al-Ibiewi LMS never stores raw card credentials.
- Grace Period & Transparency: Invoices are generated transparently based on verified roster records. Academies are provided with advance notice and an operational grace period if an automatic card payment requires updating.
4. Teacher, Student & Parent Portal Conduct
The platform must be used solely for lawful educational administration and authentic Islamic teaching. Users agree not to:
- Transmit abusive, defamatory, or inappropriate material through class notes or portal messages.
- Attempt to bypass tenant isolation boundaries or query data belonging to other academies.
- Use automated bots or scrapers to extract student, guardian, or institutional records.
5. Intellectual Property & Academy Content Ownership
Your Data Remains Yours: The academy retains full and exclusive ownership of all student records, customized curricula, lesson notes, attendance logs, and institutional branding uploaded to the platform.
Al-Ibiewi Studio owns all proprietary rights, trademarks, software code, UI designs, and database architectures comprising the Al-Ibiewi LMS service.
6. Service Availability & Live Meeting Integrations
We strive for continuous 99.9% uptime. The platform integrates with third-party providers such as Google Meet and Microsoft Teams for live classroom conferencing. While Al-Ibiewi LMS coordinates schedules and one-click launch links, third-party meeting availability is subject to the respective provider's infrastructure.
7. Limitation of Liability
To the maximum extent permitted by applicable law, Al-Ibiewi Studio shall not be liable for indirect, incidental, or consequential damages resulting from service interruptions, telecommunication failures, or unauthorized third-party access to academy credentials. In all events, our aggregate liability is limited to the total fees paid by your academy in the three (3) months preceding the event.
8. Termination, Data Export & Governing Law
Academies may terminate their subscription at any time without penalty. Upon request, we will provide an export of your academy's student roster and academic history in standard structured formats.
These Terms are governed by and construed in accordance with the laws of the Federal Republic of Nigeria. Any disputes arising hereunder shall be subject to the jurisdiction of the competent courts of Nigeria.
